about

A mountain of a man, they called him, strong of stature, with a steely gaze that had seen a thousand lifetimes. Each legend was more incredible than the last; one spoke of how he pulled a great oak from its very roots to chase off the wolves threatening a camping party, another of how he faced down and wrestled Godzilla itself, forcing it to tap out with an especially brutal figure-four leg lock and then hurling it back into the ocean, giving Tokyo a brief respite from being stomped over yet again.

Unfortunately, the true story is much less captivating.

That is not to say that I haven't seen my share of the world, having been at one time a lab monkey, sometimes a soldier, now a graphic designer, and always a wanderer, even if these days my wandering only consists of trips to the grocery store or the local bar's trivia night. Although born and raised in Maryland, I've always done everything I can to see what else is out there over my 26 years.

As a result, I've always had a tendency to be a bit spontaneous. That can, however, lead to the occasional unfavorable result, such as when I found myself at 18 and in the summer after my freshman year of college, sitting in a cattle truck en route to Army basic training in the middle of Georgia and wondering what the hell I had just gotten myself into. That sentiment was to return three years later, when I would find myself on a plane headed towards the sunny deserts of the Middle East. I got through it with extremities intact, though, and I figure that any experience you can walk away from is a good one. So long as you know better than to get yourself into those experiences again, anyway.

I figure life is far too short to not experience as much as you can, let alone spend it doing something that makes you absolutely miserable, and while I've given a try to various professions, graphic art seems to be the one I always come back to. I figure I'm pretty good at it, and hopefully you'll be able to say the same after taking a look at everything I've got here.
